Conditions
WebMD Health Services continues to innovate in Condition Management. Our initial offerings include condition management programs targeting those individuals struggling with obesity and diabetes.
Obesity Condition Management
Obesity Condition Management is focused on those with a body mass index (BMI) of 35, or greater. This program combines intensive, obesity-focused coaching with comprehensive online resources and stream-lined progress tracking to provide the long-term support and motivation to lower body weight.
Diabetes Condition Management
According to the Centers for Disease Control, approximately24 million people in the U.S. have diabetes. Another 57 million are at risk for developing the disease. In a recent study published in the American Journal of Public Health, the authors concluded thatreducing the prevalence of diabetes and high blood pressure by 5 percent would save the nation about $9 billion a year in the near term. In addition, conditions related to those health problems would also be reduced, which would increase the savings to about $24.7 billion a year in the medium term.
WebMD condition management programs provide long-term support to those struggling with obesity and diabetes. Through a combination of health coaching and targeted resources, participants receive the positive guidance to healthfully manage their condition.
