Craig Froude
Executive Vice President

Craig Froude is executive vice president and general manager of WebMD Health Services. He has provided leadership and direction for this growing area of WebMD since late 2002. Previously, Mr. Froude served as founder, chairman, and CEO of Wellmed, Inc., which was acquired by WebMD. Under his leadership, Wellmed Inc. earned numerous awards and recognition, and was named one of Inc. Magazine's "500 Fastest Growing Companies" in 2001. Mr. Froude has also served in senior management positions in various technology companies, most recently for Creative Multimedia and Central Point Software.

Mr. Froude is currently on the advisory board for the Oregon State University Austin Entrepreneurship Program. He is a graduate of Oregon State University, where he received a bachelor's degree in finance.

Ray Herschman
Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Ray Herschman is responsible for the overall operations of the WebMD Health Services private portal business, which delivers stand-alone and profile-driven health management and consumer decision-support services to employers, health plans, outsourcing organizations, and financial service providers.

Mr. Herschman brings 22 years of healthcare economics, strategy, and operations experience to WebMD, including his role as Mercer's national consulting practice leader, where he specialized in consumer-driven healthcare strategy, provider performance profiling, risk adjustment, predictive modeling, and consumer decision support. Prior to joining WebMD, Mr. Herschman was CEO and founder of HealthSync, an Internet-based employer-sponsored, consumer-driven health insurance exchange.

Mr. Herschman is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin in Madison and holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry and a master's degree in accounting and healthcare finance.

Ann Mond Johnson
Senior Vice President

Ann Mond Johnson is responsible for leading the strategic marketing team at WebMD Health Services. Previously, Ms. Johnson was president and co-founder of Subimo, which was started in 2000 with the vision of helping consumers make better healthcare decisions.

Before co-founding Subimo, Ms. Johnson was a senior executive with Sachs Group (now part of Solucient), where she led the product development and operations teams. With over 15 years in the healthcare industry, she has an acknowledged track record in creating new and state-of-the-art information products.

Ms. Johnson frequently speaks on the topic of consumer-driven healthcare and decision tools, at such venues as national meetings for America's Health Insurance Plans, International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, and the Consumer Driven Health Care Congress.

Ms. Johnson earned her bachelor's degree from Carleton College. Additionally, she received an MBA in finance and a master's degree in healthcare administration, both from the University of Minnesota.

Larry Chapman, MPH
Senior Vice President

Larry Chapman, MPH, provides thought leadership on integrating health cost management, plan design, incentive systems, and organized prevention programming for worksite, managed care, and community-based populations. In addition to his role as senior vice president of WebMD Health Services, he also serves as an editor of the American Journal of Health Promotion and the editor of the Art of Health Promotion section of the Journal.

Mr. Chapman has published over 170 articles and columns and 13 books on the topics of wellness, health cost management, and health and productivity management. He has been a consultant to the National Institutes of Health, the Center for Disease Control, the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, the Department of Veteran's Affairs, and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. He is a frequent keynote speaker and has given over 2,500 presentations and workshops on employee health, wellness, and healthcare cost control. As a consultant in the field of wellness and health promotion for more than 25 years, his clients have included more than 700 public and private sector organizations including: Aetna Insurance Company, Health Net HMO, Humana Corporation, Boeing Company, Control Data Corporation, National Education Association, National Security Agency, ConAgra, Caterpillar, Tennessee Valley Authority, Union Pacific Railroad, many Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans, and the National Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association.

Mr. Chapman earned a master's degree in medical care organization from the University of Michigan School of Public Health. He also holds degrees in environmental health and medical technology. He has also received numerous professional rewards including a Lifetime Service Award from the Association of Worksite Health Promotion.

Matt Donaldson
Senior Vice President of Health Coaching

Matt Donaldson is responsible for the strategic development and ongoing delivery of the Health Coaching business for WebMD Health Services. Most recently, Mr. Donaldson was executive vice president of professional services at Emdeon Business Services, where he developed and implemented growth strategies targeted toward the professional clinical market, including physicians, practice management system vendors, billing services, and clearing houses.

Prior to Emdeon, Mr. Donaldson served as senior vice president of Memberworks, a provider of lifestyle membership programs to the consumer market, overseeing its North American business. Before this, Mr. Donaldson worked for Medco, a prescription benefit management company, where he implemented strategies and programs with providers to optimize prescribing behaviors. Mr. Donaldson has also held general management roles with other companies throughout his career at Consumer Health Services and MCI.

Mr. Donaldson graduated from Washington and Lee University with a bachelor's degree in commerce.

Joe Donlan
Vice President of Business Development

Joe Donlan is responsible for strategic partnerships and channel development at WebMD Health Services. A customer-oriented professional with over 15 years experience in sales, business development, and web-based healthcare intelligence, Mr. Donlan works within various markets to leverage the Company's assets and experience in new ways. His success at identifying and developing new business relationships and opportunities makes him an integral part of WebMD's strategic marketing leadership team.

Most recently, Mr. Donlan was co-founder and vice president of business development at Subimo, which licensed an award-winning suite of healthcare decision tools to health plans, employers, and banks. Prior to that, he was regional sales director for Sachs Group, which was acquired by Solucient.

Mr. Donlan graduated from Lake Forest College with a business degree.

Nathan Harris
Vice President of Client Services

Since 2006, Nathan Harris has been responsible for leading the expansion and integration of several WebMD business units and platforms. He is also responsible for developing new infrastructure, process improvements, and common performance standards for WebMD Health Services' clients.

Mr. Harris has over 20 years of experience in high-growth, high-tech healthcare information. Before joining WebMD Health Services, Mr. Harris worked with Thomson Healthcare, Fidelity Employer Services, and UnitedHealth Group on behalf of some of the largest and most influential private- and public-sector healthcare purchasers in the United States.

Mr. Harris has a BS degree in engineering science and a master's in business, both from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

Philip Marshall, MD, MPH
Vice President of Product Strategy

Dr. Philip Marshall is responsible for general product direction at WebMD Health Services, and oversees the architecture of WebMD's personal health record applications. Today, Dr. Marshall is an integral part of WebMD's corporate- and payer-market product strategy and development, including key consumer-driven health plan decision-support products.

Throughout his career, Dr. Marshall has focused on enhancing how patients and physicians can more easily communicate and manage health data. He has worked extensively on electronic medical record systems at GE Medical Systems and Kaiser Permanente Northwest.

Dr. Marshall received his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine, and has residency training in general surgery and public health and preventive medicine.

John Meek
Vice President of Technology

John Meek is responsible for setting architecture and infrastructure direction for WebMD Health Services' robust tools and portals. Mr. Meek joined WellMed, the predecessor to WebMD Health Services, in 1999 as vice president of development, leading the Company's development and IT departments. Under Mr. Meek's guidance, these teams built WellMed's website and comprehensive product-line, which form the foundation for WebMD Health Services solutions today.

Mr. Meek has more than 25 years of software development and management experience. Prior to WellMed, he served for 10 years as vice president of research and development for Timberline Software (TMBS), a Beaverton-based international supplier of accounting and cost-estimating software for the construction and property management industries.

A magna cum laude graduate of Washington State University, Mr. Meek earned a bachelor's degree in computer science.

David Rowe
Vice President of Consumer Marketing

David Rowe joined WebMD as director of strategic relations in 2000 and became vice president of consumer strategy and product development in 2001. Today, he is responsible for consumer engagement for WebMD Health Services.

Mr. Rowe brings to WebMD Health Services extensive experience in product development and marketing with information-service companies, including Fortune 500 publisher Harcourt Brace. From 1991-1999, Mr. Rowe served as president of Mediamerica, the largest magazine publisher in the Pacific Northwest. He was also a founding director of the Oregon Entrepreneurs Network (OEN), serving as chairman in 1994-1995. Additionally, Mr. Rowe was a co-founder and finance chair of the American Electronics Association's Technology Benchmarks initiative and was named media advocate of the year by the U.S. Small Business Administration, Pacific Northwest Region.

Mr. Rowe earned an MBA at Portland State University, where he is currently an adjunct instructor of marketing. Mr. Rowe also earned a BA at the University of California, San Diego.

Margaret (Meg) Rush
Vice President of Product Management

Meg Rush is responsible for directing new product innovation, product development, and enhanced capabilities for WebMD Health Services. She is part of the broader operations organization and is the liaison for the Company's product strategy, product marketing, and client services executives.

Ms. Rush's background in healthcare portals, product strategy, systems development, and technology consulting spans over 20 years. Most recently, she was responsible for driving the development of the consumer portal at UnitedHealthcare. Additionally, Ms. Rush worked for Arthur Andersen Business Consulting -- delivering systems, operations, process, and technology solutions as part of the National Financial Services practice.

After graduating St. John Fisher College with an economics degree, Ms. Rush received a master's degree in management from the Penn State University.

David Shevock
Vice President of Marketing

David Shevock is responsible for setting strategic market direction for WebMD Health Services. He is part of a broader business development group and is the brand liaison for WebMD's corporate marketing executives.

Most recently, Mr. Shevock was responsible for product, operations, and marketplace positioning at Subimo, where he led a variety of successful brand and public relations initiatives. Before that, Mr. Shevock was responsible for marketing and client experience at Pictage, Inc., an online niche technology business based in Los Angeles. Additionally, Mr. Shevock has held similar business-development positions with entrepreneurial technology and health data companies, including Sysix Healthcare, Trivida (now Valueclick), and Sachs Group (now Solucient).

A graduate of the University of Michigan with an economics degree, he received a master's degree in management from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University.

Paul Sonnenschein
Vice President of Administration

Paul Sonnenschein has been responsible for finance, legal, and privacy matters for WebMD Health Services and its predecessors since 2003.

Previously, Mr. Sonnenschein was COO of Sapient Health Network, an online provider of personalized health content and applications for consumers. After the acquisition of Sapient by WebMD in early 1999, Mr. Sonnenschein served as vice president of business development, focusing on content and distribution for the WebMD consumer portal business.

Prior to his eight years in the online consumer health services field, Mr. Sonnenschein worked in the publishing and direct marketing industries, principally at Time Warner, in a variety of financial, marketing, and general management roles.

Mr. Sonnenschein holds a bachelor's degree and MBA from Columbia University.

Stephen Cohan
Senior Vice President, Sales

Stephen Cohan is responsible for WebMD Health Services' distribution channel and corporate clients. Prior to that, Mr. Cohan led sales and marketing for the transaction services division of WebMD Business Services.

Before joining WebMD, Mr. Cohan spent 11 years in a variety of management positions at Merck-Medco Managed Care L.L.C., the country's largest prescription benefit manager, including six years as senior vice president for account management, where he was responsible for implementation, account development, and renewals for the company's largest corporate accounts. In his last position at Medco, he was senior vice president of business development, reporting directly to the CEO on a variety of e-health initiatives. Over the 15 years prior, he held sales and client management leadership roles in the healthcare services, telecommunications, and printing industries.

Mr. Cohan is a graduate of Connecticut College, with a bachelor's degree in urban studies and government.

John Fiacco
Senior Vice President

John Fiacco directs the corporate sales and hospital sales groups for WebMD Health Services. Together, their mission is to grow revenue, deliver profitability for the company, and provide best-in-class service to clients.

Previously, Mr. Fiacco co-founded Subimo and drove the company's strategic direction with his experience and hands-on oversight of business development efforts. With more than 15 years of sales and market development experience, Mr. Fiacco provided the impetus to launch Subimo's Internet-based product-line. His marketing focus resulted in a rapidly growing customer base, strategic partnership programs, and an innovative channel distribution system.

Mr. Fiacco's career includes executive success at Sachs Group (now Solucient), Ernst & Young's ConnectedHealth.Net, and Equifax Health Information Services division.

Mr. Fiacco received a master's degree in management at Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

Brad Lawson
Vice President of Health Coaching Sales

Brad Lawson is responsible for direct sales and marketing initiatives for WebMD's health coaching services. Mr. Lawson joined WellMed (prior to its acquisition by WebMD) in 2002, bringing ten years of sales and sales management experience in the healthcare technology and enterprise software industries to WebMD.

Prior to joining WebMD, Mr. Lawson managed several sales districts for statistical and data-mining solutions vendor SAS Institute. He has contributed to several publications focused on sales management, and to a research publication by the Benefits Roundtable on the use of HRAs in employer sponsored plans.

Mr. Lawson has a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Cincinnati and a master's degree from the University of Dayton. He has also completed an executive education program at the Harvard School of Public Health.

A. David Vinson
Senior Vice President

David Vinson is responsible for providing the overall strategic leadership and product positioning for sales and account services for WebMD Health Services member portal services and personal health management solutions for insurers, managed care organizations, and other payers. Since joining WebMD in June 2003, Mr. Vinson has led the development of WebMD Health Services member relationship management strategy that enables health plans to engage members in making more informed decisions relating to benefits, providers, and treatments.

Prior to joining WebMD, Mr. Vinson founded Optate Inc., a provider of online decision-support applications, and served as president and CEO. In 1997, Mr. Vinson co-founded and served as vice president for HealthMedia Inc, focused on delivering online behavior modification applications. Additionally, Mr. Vinson previously served as vice president, business development and chief marketing officer for M-CARE Managed Care Organization for the University of Michigan Health System.

Brad Bowman, MD
Vice President, WebMD Health Services

Dr. Brad Bowman develops unique clinical information systems and proprietary software programs that analyze the clinical, genetic, and environmental basis of common and treatable illnesses. With more than 17 years of experience as a computer programmer, Dr. Bowman, a pioneer in health risk assessments, is responsible for the creation of WebMD's Digital DNATM and HealthQuotientSM systems. Dr. Bowman is a practicing physician and serves as an assistant professor of medicine at Oregon Health Sciences University. Previously, Dr. Bowman served as chairman of the Division of Internal Medicine at Legacy Portland Hospitals. Dr. Bowman has participated in cardiac research and has published several articles. He received his doctorate of medicine from the University of Washington.

Louise Chang, MD
Medical Editor, WebMD

Dr. Louise Chang is part of the WebMD medical editing team and is responsible for reviewing WebMD content, news, and feature stories to ensure their medical accuracy. In this capacity, Dr. Chang shares the WebMD mission to provide the most accurate and useful medical information for people. With broad experience of both inpatient and outpatient practice in urban and suburban settings, Dr. Chang has always considered herself a patient advocate and educator at heart. Immediately prior to joining WebMD, Dr. Chang worked as an attending physician and clinical instructor at Grady Memorial Hospital as part of the Emory School of Medicine in downtown Atlanta. In this role, Dr. Chang was responsible for seeing patients, working with, and teaching medical residents and students.

A member of both the American College of Physicians and the Society of General Internal Medicine, Dr. Chang's prior research work has been published and presented at regional and national conferences. Board-certified in internal medicine, Dr. Chang attended medical school at New York Medical College. She completed her internal medicine residency at Saint Vincent's Hospital in New York City, where she also served as a chief resident from 2001-2002. Dr. Chang holds an undergraduate degree from Stanford University.

Brunilda Nazario, MD
Senior Medical Editor, WebMD

Dr. Brunilda Nazario has been with WebMD since 2002 and is responsible for reviewing WebMD content, news, feature stories, and graphics to ensure their medical accuracy. Additionally, Dr. Nazario serves as the health expert for Women's Health Magazine. Dr. Nazario was invited to be a consultant for the Therapeutic Options for Menopausal Health group in 1999 and 2000 and the Council on Hormone Education in 2002. Her interest in heart disease and lipid disorders has led to her participation in the Johns Hopkins University of Medicine Lipid Disorders Training Center Program.

Prior to WebMD, Dr. Nazario consulted in endocrinology, focusing on hypertension, lipid and diabetes management, nutritional and weight management, and endocrine gland disorders. She has also worked with many women suffering from reproductive endocrine issues such as polycystic ovary syndrome, hirsutism, basic infertility management, and menopausal management with a focus on osteoporosis.

Previously, Dr. Nazario served on the faculty at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, while maintaining a private practice in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Prior to that, she was a faculty member at the University of California in Irvine, which she joined after completing a fellowship in endocrinology and metabolism at that university. During her fellowship, Dr. Nazario was involved in research on vascular peptides and their interaction, for which she received the Merck Senior Fellow Award for Notable Research in 1994.

Dr. Nazario is board-certified in both internal medicine and in endocrinology and metabolism. She is affiliated with numerous organizations including the American College of Physicians, The Endocrine Society, and the American Diabetes Association for Health Professionals. Dr. Nazario is also a member of the Continuing Medical Education (CME) Advisory Committee for the Endocrine Society.

After obtaining her medical degree at the University of Noreste School of Medicine in Mexico, Dr. Nazario completed her residency in internal medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City and at the University of California in Irvine.

Michael W. Smith, MD
Medical Editor-In-Chief, WebMD

Dr. Michael W. Smith is the chief medical editor at WebMD Health, in charge of original WebMD content creation, including medical news, features, tools, and health reference information. Dr. Smith oversees a staff of editors, writers, and physicians responsible for creating content and assuring its continued medical accuracy and relevance to the WebMD audience. He has been with WebMD since 1999.

Dr. Smith has appeared on Fox News, DirectTV's Retirement Living channel, and in multiple print publications, including Newsweek and USA Weekend. In interviews with local radio stations and newspapers across the country, Dr. Smith has spoken on topics ranging from hangover remedies to navigating the Internet for accurate, credible health information. As a general internist, Dr. Smith's interest and knowledge span a wide array of medical topics, but he is particularly interested in prevention and helping people live a healthy, active lifestyle. Having developed ankylosing spondylitis in his college years, arthritis is an area of personal interest to him.

Prior to WebMD, Dr. Smith was in private practice as primary care physician in a primary care network in Atlanta. He is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American Medical Association.

Board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Smith completed his residency in internal medicine at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon and at the Georgia Baptist Medical Center in Atlanta, serving as chief resident in his final year. Dr. Smith is a 1994 graduate of the Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Georgia.

Kathleen M. Zelman, MPH, RD, LD
Director of Nutrition, WebMD Health, WebMD Weight Loss Clinic

Kathleen Zelman, MPH, RD, LD, is director of nutrition for WebMD Health and the WebMD Weight Loss Clinic. In this role, she oversees diet, nutrition, and food content for both WebMD and the Weight Loss Clinic. Among other duties, Ms. Zelman serves as senior nutrition correspondent, writes weekly features, columns, newsletters, provides expert editorial review of diet and nutrition articles, and covers national meetings.

Ms. Zelman has extensive media experience, including co-hosting a weekly radio program, 12 years as a national spokeswoman for the American Dietetic Association, and numerous print and television appearances, including CNN, Good Morning America, NBC Nightly News, The Wall Street Journal, and The New York Times. In 2007, Ms. Zelman was awarded the prestigious American Dietetic Association “Media Excellence Award” for her contribution and commitment to educating consumers about food and nutrition issues through the media. She is a contributing writer for newspapers, magazines, and books, including Paul Prudhomme's A Fork in the Road, Healthy Eating for Babies and Toddlers, and A Harvest of Healing Foods.

Ms. Zelman has been a dietetic internship director at Ochsner Medical Institutions and assistant professor of nutrition at St. Mary's Dominican College, both in New Orleans. She has extensive experience working with children and weight management clients, chefs, and restaurants in analysis and development of healthy recipes.

Active in local, state, and national dietetic associations, Ms. Zelman served as a trustee of the Georgia Dietetic Foundation and is in her second term as the Georgia delegate to the American Dietetic Association. She received her master's degree in public health from Tulane University and her bachelor of science from Montclair State University.
