WebMD Videos
Chances are, if you’ve visited WebMD.com you’ve watched one of our 2,400 videos covering nearly 200 categories of health topics, from attention deficit disorder to women’s health. Now these videos are also available for employers’ and health plans’ private health and benefit management portals. Videos provide yet another engaging, interactive way for employees and health plan members to learn more about—and act on—health improvement opportunities.
Video content is fully indexed in WebMD health portals
For our employer and health plan clients, we provide our video library in a completely ad-free format. These one- to three-minute videos are clinically reviewed and pre-screened to ensure that they’re appropriate for your population. The videos are fully indexed within the health portal, so they display as recommended content when individuals search on related topics. And videos are indexed with WebMD Health Topic areas as well. So an individual who searches for information on low back pain, for instance, can also find videos that demonstrate effective exercises to improve back strength without injury.
For client organizations that have their own video library, such as presentations on benefits, tours of onsite resources, or other wellness program resources, WebMD will also be able to seamlessly index those videos as well in future.
Using weblets, individuals learn about related resources when they’re actively looking for information on that topic.
Available now to client organizations
Employer and health plan clients can easily add WebMD video content to their existing portal implementation. Videos are available at no additional cost, but are not automatically added unless requested. Organizations simply need to contact their WebMD account manager to schedule the addition and decide where to add a link to the video library in their site’s global navigation.
Video promotion tools also available
For clients who add the video library, WebMD also provides e-mail messages to promote the videos to your employees or health plan members. Clients can also use weblets (small, customizable content areas) within the portal to drive awareness of these new resources.
To add the video library to your portal, contact your WebMD account manager.
