Varsha Ambuga is a Healthcare Informatics and Data Analytics professional at WebMD Health Services. She has over a decade of experience in healthcare technology spanning software quality engineering, healthcare data systems, and analytics-driven problem solving. Her work focuses on building and managing robust healthcare data ecosystems, complex clinical data models, and industry-standard clinical terminologies and ontologies. She is particularly interested in the responsible application of AI and data science within healthcare to generate meaningful insights while maintaining strong foundations in data governance, privacy, security, and data quality.
Varsha believes technology should support thoughtful decision-making, not drive it. Whether working with traditional analytics pipelines or emerging AI workflows, she values using the right tools with intention, intellectual rigor, and awareness of healthcare’s ethical and operational complexities.
Varsha lives in Toronto with her husband and daughter. Outside of work, she enjoys reading books focused on anthropology and philosophy, painting folk art, and reflecting on life with a sense of awe.
